Nothing Beats Free Stuff! Tough Brat Fred is Home.

For months, I have been eyeing bags at Bratty Bonita and Tough Brat. No matter how badly I wanted one, it was beyond my current budget. A month ago, I was ecstatic to read their Blog a bag, Bag a bag promo! I immediately joined coz for one, nothing beats free stuff and second, their laptop bags all looked chic and durable. 

Luckily, I won! My article was one of the four winning articles! I automatically reverted to my holidazed mode when I knew. I was super excited to receive the bag. 

After half a month, Fred arrived at my doorstep yesterday while I was having my afternoon nap. When my mom woke me, I was dazed and irritated (I always am after waking up) but it all went out the window when I peered down our terrace at the delivery man. Fred's home! Needless to say, I ran down the stairs to welcome Fred. 

Most products only look fab in pictures, but disappoint in person. My Tough Fred is an exception. The luxurious gray, the feel of the material, and the spacious compartments. It's a snug fit for my 14-inch Lenovo and has not only one but four additional pockets perfect for optical mouse and charger with plenty more space for other stuff I need say ipod, phone, and planner (yes, I try to organize my life).

With countless powerpoint presentations and looming deadline for our feasibility study, I constantly have to lug my laptop around. Tough Fred will be put to good use.

And so, I brought it to school. Needless to say, friends were envious! I would be too if I were them. I have this obsession on oversized bags especially sling totes these days that I can't help myself. I only have a handful of small bags.

I cannot wait to pair Fred with different ensembles and take it to places. It's large enough to tote around travels. More on that soon.

Tough Brat Bags' Dual Purpose Sling Totes. And It Does Not Look It!

The sling tote bag is the rave in Hollywood. For women, the bag is an accessory. However simple your ensemble may be, a bag always helps completing the entire get up. I have a lot of bags; a girl can never have too many. The same goes for shoes, by the way. Almost all were purchased at a whim or at the height of a certain trend. Chances are they go out of fashion; you don’t get to use them and use space in the closet. I learned my lesson and started to collect classic pieces. I believe these sling totes are here to stay. Hard to resist buying those! I need to have one quick.

I’m a fan of big bags so it definitely must be huge. Big enough to carry all my stuff for school. I regularly bring my laptop/netbook, iPod classic, cellphone, notebooks, a book, pen, powder, brush, scrunchy and lip balm. Among my small big bags collection, my current fave is the blue Jacobs by Marc Jacobs logo tote. As it's just a normal tote, it lacks a compartment designed for a laptop. Heck, it doesn't have any at all. My lappie doesn't feel safe and protected. 

I was browsing through online and found my way at Tough Brat bags. I must say it was love at first sight! As I lay my eyes on their Fred line, especially the one in gray, I had images of the various ways I can wear it. Its gray, it can go with every casual, even corporate ensemble I have.

Can you tell? Can you tell it's a laptop bag? How ingenious. I loved the fact how it looks absolutely fab! If I get to own one, I hit two birds with one stone -- a laptop bag and a sophisticated sling tote I've been lusting for.With thieves rampant in the city, the last thing you need is a big bag screaming i-have-laptop-inside-come-snatch-me. But with this? No one would know you're carrying one plus you arrive fashionably chic in whatever ensemble you pair it with and not some dork heavy with a laptop.

The sturdy Fred Tough Brat boasts a lot of pockets. The top pocket can surely accommodate my charger and small optical mouse. I can stash my powder, brush, lip balm and scrunchy in the middle pocket. The bottom pocket can carry my pens, and coin purse for easier access. Inner compartment is spacious. Tough Brat Bags customizes the size of the bag according to the size of your laptop. Sweet! 

Their array of color choices allow you to play with your bag. I see myself out of town, dressing up this gray Fred with a scarf. Or ditch the scarf, let it hang loosely on my shoulder over a nice floral dress. The possibilities are endless.

I’m glad I found Tough Brat Bags’ and Bratty Bonita's 'Blog a Bag, Bag a Bag’ promo. I'm trying my luck here. It'd be good to have Fred Tough Brat. I have thesis which requires me to bring my lappie often in school. A 14-inch Lenovo isn't lightweight, my poor shoulders! Because of THE paper, I get home late and the issue of detracting thieves is a must for my own safety. Fred Tough Brat can address that in a chic way! Plus, I'll consider it as an advance grad gift! *winks*
