Corby, I Want You!

Dear Corby,

Corby! Corby! Corby! I want you. The moment I caught sight of you, it was love at first sight. Must give props to Mia for her blog entry if not for that, I never would have found you. But how in the world will I convince my folks to bu
y one for me when my phone's not even a year old? Why appear now? Why now when I already bought a Nokia 5730? Ugh. You're touchscreen and you come in a variety of colors that just pop. I love the bright yellow of your kind. And you come in a reasonable price for only Php 7,490. Yep. I hunted you in stores immediately after I knew you're in local stores. And the ecs are just about right.

  • Quad-band GSM/EDGE
  • 2.8" capacitive TFT touchscreen of QVGA resolution
  • 90 MB onboard storage, microSD card slot (up to 8GB)
  • 2 megapixel fixed-focus camera with smile detection, QVGA@15fps video recording
  • FM radio with RDS
  • Find Music recognition service
  • TouchWiz and Cartoon UI
  • Social networking integration with direct file uploads
  • Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, USB v.2.0
  • Office document viewer
  • Smart unlock
  • Interchangeable rear covers (Fashion Jackets), ships with two extra panels
  • Relatively low price for a full touch phone (around 150 euro)

Apart from the 'no wifi' capability, its pretty decent. Corby reflects the kind of personality I have. Won't it be cool if you're gadget mirrors your personality? I WANT THE YELLOW CORBY!!! Its HIP and FUN!

Since, its difficult for me to convince my folks I'll join the Samsung contest for Corby. By just signing up and using facebook and twitter, I can win one. The more I tweet, the more chances I win. Because one tweet or status update (for facebook), I gain more raffle entries for the contest thus more and more chances of winning one.

So I sound desperate. Who knows? I might have one for Christmas.

I think this is the phone my friend has :-) It is pretty cute. I know Sun has this phone for one of their plan offers. I think it's the 600 one?
